APEC Top Tier ROES PH75 6 Stage RO System Review

By Rehan Iqbal

If you thought 5-stage reverse osmosis water filtration systems were as good as it gets, you aren’t actually wrong. Technically, the APEC ROES-PH75 reverse osmosis filtration is similar to other top-end 5-stage systems with a remineralization system. The 6th stage that they refer to is actually not filtration at all. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, they’re adding to the water, not removing anything – which is what a filtration system does.

APEC Top Tier Alkaline Mineral pH+ 75 GPD 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System

1st - 5th Stage Filtration

Basically, this system has the same 5-stage process as any high-grade reverse osmosis system. Though the filters may better than many others, removing just about all the particles and chemicals from the water – up 99%. The first stage removes solid matter like silt. A second and third stage uses top-of-the-line carbon filters to remove chlorine, odors, and elements that may discolor the water – these carbon filters are incredibly effective and should last longer than most others. The fourth stage removes all harmful elements, including arsenic, barium, lead, radium and any other that you may think of. The fifth post filtration stage removes any harmful matter that may have collected in the tank.

6th Stage Filtration

In the so-called 6th stage, the system adds high-purity calcium carbonate (US made) to ensure that the water remains at a perfect 75 PH level. This makes the water softer and won’t have any negative effect on your skin. There are other 5-stage reverse osmosis systems that add minerals to the water, it’s just that they call it a 5-stage system with remineralization.

Is the APEC ROES-PH75 RO Filter Any Good?

Though one needs to be cautious about the remineralization process. Some of these systems may not use certified sources for the minerals that they add to the water. The APEC ROES-PH75 doesn’t add anything but pure calcium carbonate and because this is manufactured in the US, you’re assured that it’s safe. There are some countries that don’t have the same high health and safety regulations as you get here in the US. So this is quite important, you know you’re not drinking added minerals that can end up doing harm instead of good.

All the filters are really of the highest standard, so it’s an efficient and effective reverse osmosis water purifier – about the best that you can get. The filter cartridges are designed for easy and hassle-free maintenance. You won’t struggle to change the filter cartridges. All the components are made to a very high standard in a controlled environment. So, while you may get cheaper imports, the APEC reverse osmosis system has just about the best manufacturing process in the world. When it comes to your health, I think it’s worth paying extra for this peace of mind.

It’s very clear that this is a heavy-duty reverse osmosis system, it’s a quality product that will last for years. The faucet that comes with the kit is not only top quality, but it’s elegant, modern and graceful. It will look great in any kitchen and, like the rest of the system, it’s going last and last.

So, while the 6-stage reverse osmosis system isn’t all that unique (it’s more a matter of semantics), this is certainly one of the best water filters that you can install in your home. It’s easy to install and you always have the backing of a company that’s been in the business of reverse osmosis for over 20-years.
